When autumn arrives, it feels as if the entire world is painted in new hues of golden oranges, earthy browns and bright reds.
We were inspired by the colors of fall to create this festive window transparency to hang now and enjoy until the last leaves fall.

Print our fall Waldorf window transparency templates or draw your own on black cardstock. Then, use scissors to cut around the outside of the shapes and a craft knife to cut the negative spaces in the middle. Save these interior pieces to use later on.
Select your colorful Waldorf Window Star Paper sheets. Greens fading into warm fall tones felt appropriate for these autumnal transparencies!
Play around with layering the paper and use a pencil to lightly trace the shapes you will want to cut from them. Make sure to leave an allowance for the paper to overlap where you will glue them together. The overlapping colors also create a beautiful effect.
Use a glue stick to carefully piece together the shapes you’ve cut out. Waldorf Window Star Paper can be very delicate, so use your glue sparingly.
Once you glue your final piece on, you should have a full sheet of multi-color paper. Lay your transparency template over the sheet and determine which area you want to use for your cutouts. Use the pieces you set aside earlier to outline the shapes you will need, adding a small margin where you will glue them to the frame.
Glue each piece to the backside of your template, filling the negative spaces with warm autumn colors. Repeat for each template you make. Finally, use clear tape to hang the window transparencies in your favorite sunny window.
