Gather you materials:
1 cup all- purpose flour1/2 cup fine salt
1/2 cup warm water
Scissors
.5 " Diameter Candles
Watercolors
Brushes
Making the Dragon:
Preheat your oven to 250 degrees.
In a bowl, mix 1 cup of all-purpose flour with 1/2 cup of salt and 1/2 cup of warm water (2:1:1 ratio).
Knead until dough forms. Shape the dough into a long log.
Use your hands to start shaping a dragon.
You can add horns, legs, eyes, and flames to make it extra special. You can use scissors to create the dragon’s magical scales.
Once you have completed your dragon place carefully on a lined baking sheet. You can then use the .5 inch candle to create three indents. These will become the candle holders after baking.
Baking the Dragon:
Bake your dragon for 2.5 hours.
Once baked, let your dragon cool carefully for a minimum of 30 minutes.
We love to color our dragon with watercolors. You can also add highlights with white paint. Let the paint dry for a minimum of 30 minutes, then add your candles and your Michalemas centerpiece is ready!
